Ethan gosen

Ethan is a Michigan native and student-athlete at the University of Michigan, studying Sport Management in the School of Kinesiology. He’s back for his second season with Geyser Kayak and Off-Grid Experiences, returning as a tour guide while stepping into a new role as Operations Manager intern — learning the business side while still doing what he loves: getting people out on the water and showing them a great time. Off the clock, Ethan’s in the gym, on the slopes, or back on the water. High-energy and always up for a good time, he’s the kind of guide who turns a kayak tour into the highlight of your trip.

ben johnson

Ben is from Alabama. He fell in love with the mountains on a trip to Glacier National Park in 2021, and has been living, working, and exploring in the Yellowstone area every summer since. It is his second season guiding kayak tours for Geyser Kayak. He loves spotting wildlife and talking and learning about animals, plants, and geology. In his free time if he’s not running or hiking in the mountains, or looking for animals, he’s probably playing banjo or doing online schoolwork.

Luke Mcgregor

Luke is from Saginaw, MI where he currently lives and attends Michigan State University where he is studying pre-med. He loves the outdoors including camping, hunting, and fishing. He’s always loved the national parks and has always wanted to work here. He is looking forward to meeting new people.

Brian Cynkar

Originally from Colorado, Brian transplanted to the west slope of the Tetons in 2006 in search of a deeper snowpack and has resided in the Driggs, Idaho area ever since. In the winter you can find him splitboarding in the Teton backcountry, and in the summers paddling the rivers and lakes of western Wyoming. He has been guiding kayaking tours of the lakes of Yellowstone National Park for Geyser Kayak Tours since 2015 and brings professionalism and international expedition experience to the team.

Lane White

Lane was born and raised in North Carolina, where the love for the outdoors started.  Lane has recently graduated college where he played collegiate baseball.  He spends his free time with family, as well as hunting and enjoying the outdoors.

Sophia Sweeney

Sophia is from North Carolina and recently graduated college where she played soccer. She is an avid outdoors enthusiast with a deep love for kayaking and adventure. Growing up going to Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia, she developed a strong connection to water sports from a young age. With a keen eye for nature and a passion for conservation, she combines her kayaking skills with a commitment to environmental stewardship. Sophia thrives on sharing her enthusiasm for kayaking with beginners and seasoned adventurers alike, making her an ideal guide for unforgettable aquatic experiences.
